A cornerstone of Piscina's new collection, the modular design of our Ledoux shelving system allows for it to be uniquely imagined and effortlessly reconfigured. The central feature of our design, a boxy column inspired by French Neoclassical architect, Claud Nicolas Ledoux, stands as the backbone to a variety of shelves each having a distinct character and offering infinite combinations.
For this inaugural year, the shelf catalog consists of ten forms which recall some of our favorite sources of inspiration and lay the stylistic foundation for this uniquely evolving object of collectible design. Made from solid wood, a column can be made to order at any height with a bespoke combination of shelves from the forms offered in our 2022 collection. Designed by Natalie Shook for Piscina and developed in collaboration with husband and architect Wes Rozen.

Founded by Cuban-American artist Natalie Shook, Piscina’s design studio is driven to turn everyday objects into sculptural centerpieces. Graduate of The Cooper Union, Shook was influenced by the histories of art and architecture alike evident in this first collection of work designed for Piscina.
The collective, adjacent to Piscina’s studio, was created to pool designers from across disciplines with a common dedication to a high level of craft and innovation. Within the Piscina ecosystem independent designers have a home for their creative practice, a community of inspired individuals to work with, and a forum to exhibit work. Piscina represents the work of these artists, as well as the work of other designers whose work appeals to our view of art and design today.
Piscinas Showroom within our fabrication shop is open to the public. A rotation of works by dozens of designers, including work from the new Piscina collection can be viewed Tuesday through Saturday or by appointment.
